We love seafood but we like ours fresh and we like it grown with no chemicals, hormones, pesticides or additives and with great care. We also like our shrimp to be protected and grown inside where they are not subject to the surrounding ecosystems.
Piscaria is an aquaculture farm located in South Carolina. Our goal is to provide the very finest seafood grown organically and safely. A question that has always troubled us is that seafood both caught wild and or raised in outdoor farms can damage the surrounding ecosystems when not managed properly. And trawling for wild-caught shrimp can result in by-catch (other species that are caught in fisherman’s nets) which can be a detriment to the seafood population.
We feel that our custom designed tanks are the answer to those concerns. Our seafood is carefully monitored 24 hours a day
Most Shrimp farms are typically outdoor ponds which can be severely affected by climate and wildlife. Piscaria aquaculture farms are located in environmentally controlled buildings thereby reducing or eliminating contamination, air born bacteria and disease.
Piscaria controls every facet of the growth and lives of our seafood thus ensuring our harvests are healthy and happy without the negative environmental side effects of outdoor pond farms.
